Kasweta, Thathwe and Mpepa Parishes in Chipata were lacking the basic provision of water.

The provision of three new boreholes was required to address this shortage. Drilling many feet beneath the surface allows access to clean water supplies. Pipes are then installed within the boreholes which in turn provides a source of clean, running water.

Kasweta is an outstation of Chikowa parish in its remotest part. The installation of a water system will not only benefit the outstation but the surrounding community as well.
